Let’s leave aside Mythology and address this question through the lens of Archaeology, Genetics and Linguistics.

Indus Valley civilization:

Indus Valley civilization is a Bronze Age civilization dated — as far back as 7000 BCE (Pre Harappan ), 5500 BCE to 3300 BCE is known as Early Harappan.

The mature phase is dated from 2600 BCE to 1900 BCE.

The oldest site of IVC — Mehrgarh is 10,000 years old (7000 BCE), it is Neolithic site. Sites from Mature phase such as Harappa date back to — 2600 BCE.

Who were the people of Indus Valley civilization ?

Indus Valley civilization was given rise by Neolithic Iranians who migrated into the Indus Valley region.
